While living and working in France (in the 20th century), close to Geneva, I often wondered what it would have been like to work in Switzerland. It never happened then, but in 2013, that wonder became a reality. The photographs on this page (along with those of the picturesque town of Colmar (in Eastern France) were taken during a short working period - albeit for the first three weeks of December - at one of the pharmaceutical companies in Basle/Bâle/Basel.
Being December, days are short (in the northern hemisphere). Therefore, apart from weekends when I got out and about, a lot of the photos were taken after office hours; when it was dark!
